Medical Advisor

Key Responsibilities
-Conduct medical review of cases received for Pre-authorization
-Support the Medical Team in the evaluation of medical appropriateness of treatment
-Provide medical advice/knowledge to colleagues in the medical department
-Carry out case management of complex cases and practice cost containment
-Perform Medical auditing of In-patient and Out-patient medical claims
-Prepare and provide case and medical training for the medical department, in collaboration with the medical team trainer
-Support the medical department`s efforts to achieve cost containment and achievement of the targeted loss ratio
-Other Ad hoc duties as operationally required
Experience Required
-Qualified Registered General Nurse
-Experience within a medical insurance provider or within the management function of a medical provider
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), ICD , CPT coding and regulatory knowledge of HAAD , DHA
-Completion or progression towards the Diploma in Private Medical Insurance or relevant certification
